Do you feel lost in your life? Sometimes we just lose sight and we are not sure where we want to go in life. That is okay. I too have been there, more times than I care to admit. This has made me stronger and into the person that I am today.
What are your triggers?
The feelings of being lost sneak up on us without us even noticing. I was knocked off my feet and left in shock. Over my lifetime I have felt that I didn’t fit in as a child, not being cool enough, overwhelmed with the death of my dad at an early age, scared and alone when I realized I was in an abusive relationship, not knowing how to leave, the betrayal of my best friends siding with my ex-husband. These all left me feeling broken and lost and no idea which way was up.
I got to the point where I just didn’t care anymore.
Can you blame me? What would you of done if you were in the same situation? It was time to stand up for myself. I gave myself permission to break this cycle. I didn’t want to be here in this situation any longer. I slowly made changes in my life to propel me forward. I decided that doing self-care was important and I was deserving of it.
Giving yourself permission is essential.
When you wake up each morning set your intentions, write them down in a journal. This is step one in healing yourself. What are you grateful for? Get rid of your negative thoughts. Making sure that you are getting enough sleep and lastly being mindful of what your thoughts are.
By doing the above validates you and allows you to accept yourself for who you are. Everything will end up being okay. Just allow yourself to be.
